Overview Glorious Gardens’ focus is creating glorious spaces with plants. We appreciate the beauty of plants changing throughout the seasons and the way a well-designed space can transform the mood of all who enter it. We believe that your outdoor environment can be a vital extension of your indoor living space, whether it continues the indoor aesthetic or provides a striking contrast to it. We also seek to give each client what they want and need, not stamp a pre-conceived Glorious Gardens’ aesthetic on every client. We believe that every client has their own preferences, uses their landscape in their own personal way, and ultimately wants their own private space. We enjoy the comraderie of our small company and we enjoy getting to know our limited clientele. We seek to keep the same clients and enhance their properties over many years. Our services are all geared towards these ends: unique designs; quality installations; thorough one-time cleanups; detailed, ongoing maintenance; and informative consultations.
Design If you would like a beautiful, inspired garden that meets your needs and exceeds your expectations, we are the company for you. We have strong design skills, are extremely knowledgeable about plants, and we’re eager to hear your initial ideas and needs that the design should address. We believe in creating a complete design aesthetic so that your entire outdoor living space is pulled together and harmonious. In addition to selecting outstanding plants and plant combinations, we will also design your hardscapes like decks and patios as well as recommend garden furniture and ornamentation. Our design process is to first meet with you, see your existing landscape, and find out what you are seeking: how you plan to use various areas of your landscape, colors and forms that you like and don’t like, observations about your property such as dry or wet areas or high-traffic areas, your budget, your timeline, how much time you want to spend caring for your garden, etc. We have a gift for thinking outside of the box and a talent for maximizing what you already have, unifying various areas of your property, making spaces flow seamlessly from one area to the next, addressing the entire aesthetic of the outdoor areas, and specifying plants that will provide four-seasons of interest and beauty. We supplement our aerial view drawings with a list of plants and materials, sample pictures of various products, full-color plant information sheets, and the cost of the proposed installation plan. Each client has the option of receiving one design revision at no additional charge, although we are rarely asked to do so! We listen closely to what our clients want and need and then craft an appealing and appropriate design. We also work with clients who need smaller spaces designed, or who need existing garden beds rearranged or supplemented. We keep informed within the horticultural community about the newest plant introductions and performance of existing ones. We have years of experience in creating beautiful gardens for a wide array of clients and environments.
Installation Our plant designs are installed by our own gardening staff. We ensure your soil is properly prepared and pH appropriate for the designed plantings. We select strong, healthy plants and carefully plant each one to ensure its long-term success as part of your garden. We add fertilizers for strong root growth, mulch to help hold in moisture, and pre-emergent to prevent most weed seedlings from germinating on top of your newly planted beds. We also provide you with the information you need to care for your garden tomorrow, years from now, or just between visits from your Glorious Gardeners! Of course, if you would enjoy it, you can install your garden yourself. Each of our services is sold separately so you can buy the design without the installation, for instance.
Maintentance Glorious Gardens will maintain your property at whatever intervals you decide: weekly, monthly, or several times a year. We can watch over your property to ensure its optimal health and beauty or we can supplement your own gardening efforts. We will care for your property as if it was our own. Maintenance services include: soil testing and enhancement; planting, transplanting, and dividing; fertilizing; pest and disease control; weed prevention and eradication; pruning, shaping, and removing dieback or injury; edging beds; mulching; identifying existing plants; and diagnosing the causes of unhealthy plants and returning them to vigorous health.
CleanUp Glorious Gardens also offers garden cleanups. We do many pre and post home sale spruce ups, pre-party tidying, post-vacation, and health-delayed cleanups. Many do-it-yourself gardeners appreciate assistance with larger tasks while others just need the detailed professional touches to complete the property’s beauty. Our cleanup services include: soil testing and enhancement; planting, transplanting, and dividing; fertilizing; pest and disease control; weed prevention and eradication; pruning, shaping, and removing dieback or injury; edging beds; mulching; identifying existing plants; and diagnosing the causes of unhealthy plants and returning them to vigorous health.
Consultation If you are not sure that you want to start your project with a full design we can always meet with you to consult on your existing landscape. You can use this time to meet with us and discuss planting, transplanting, dividing, fertilizing, pest and disease control, weed prevention, pruning, shaping, removing dieback or injury, identifying existing plants, and diagnosing the causes of unhealthy plants.
